Working together to arrive at a solution.

Meija Schreiner, LAC

Counselor

I recognize that participating in therapy can often be difficult or intimidating, and I work to provide a safe place, where my client’s feel heard, understood, and empowered. I do my best to show empathy, meet my client’s where they are at, walk with them through their current concerns, and tailor my sessions and interventions to the individual needs and goals of my clients.

Throughout my time as a counselor, I have worked with wonderfully diverse populations experiencing various life stressors such as depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, adoption/foster care, relationship challenges, addiction, mental health needs, parenting, and personal growth issues.

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAC 16237), with a Bachelors degree in Interpersonal Communication and a Masters’s Degree in Professional Counseling, with an emphasis in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. I am licensed through the AZBBHE and am currently working under supervision of Edward Callarigos, LMFT while pursuing independent licensure.

I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and use an eclectic therapeutic approach including other various modalities, while creating a supportive environment for growth with individuals, couples, and families.

I offer a FREE 30 minute "Meet & Greet" consultation to help you get to know me better and to discuss how I can best assist you. I offer both, in home and in office sessions, as well as extended intensive sessions to accomodate my clients various needs and circumstances. I am here to help you find the strength and the tools to help you through this period.

Let me help you open the door to a new you!
